MetaMinds – Projection-Based AR Whack-a-Mole

Welcome to the official technical documentation of Team MetaMinds.

This project focuses on developing a projection-based AR Whack-a-Mole game integrating real-time gameplay, spatial calibration, and interactive projection mapping.

Core Components

1. Game Logic & Rendering Pipeline

Core gameplay mechanics developed using Unity, including: - Real-time object spawning
- Collision handling
- Frame-synchronized scoring
- Event-driven state management

2. Projection Mapping & Spatial Calibration

  • Geometric alignment between virtual coordinates and physical projection space
  • Keystone distortion correction
  • Surface irregularity compensation

3. Real-Time Interaction Processing

  • Low-latency input acquisition
  • Accurate hit detection
  • Continuous performance monitoring under variable lighting conditions

4. User Interface & System Validation

  • On-screen UI for score visualization and session control
  • Structured evaluation of response latency, interaction accuracy, and runtime stability
